Classic
Archaeology Museum
This museum has one of the few surviving collections
of plaster casts of classic greek and roman sculptures.
Although none of the pieces is original, it’s
possible to find all the famous sculptures of the classic
world under the same ceiling. They are surpluses of
a pre massive tourism era, when each new discovery of
a sculpture caused that all the European museums requested
their plaster copy, since it was the only way to study
the Classical Art. It also has a collection of glasses
and ceramics fragments, coins replicas and minoic reproductions.
