Scott
Institute of Polar Research
Founded on 1920 in memory of Captain R.F. Scott and
his companions -who died in an expedition to the South
Pole-, this institution is dedicated to the investigation
of the polar regions. The centre includes a museum where
can be found maps, voyage diaries, paintings, photographs
and equipment and devices used in the polar investigation.
