London
Museum
The museum has eight permanent exhibition main rooms,
in which is developed the history of the city of London
throughout the time. The first is dedicated to the times
of the Roman conquest; it follows the room of Medieval
London, an era that includes the historical facts between
the 10th and the 15th centuries; the third is dedicated
to the Tudor era, that finalizes with the Great Fire
and takes to the fourth room, dedicated to the reconstruction
of the city and the beginning of the commercial interchange
with Asia and America.
In the room of the 18th century are exposed the political
changes and the commercial explosion of that time, as
well as the medicine and scientifical developments.
We arrive then to the room dedicated to the Victorian
era, a time when London became the first metropolis
world-wide.
The museum possesses a Microgallery where is offered
a more detailed glance into the life of 19th century,
as the other main room is dedicated to temporary thematic
exhibitions, where are developed subjects like the London
of the children, macabre London, London transport and
more.
