Airports
London has five international airports. Heathrow located 24 km west London is the most important one. The others are Gatwick, Stansted, Luton and the London City Airport. In others parts of the country, there are international airports in the cities of Birmingham, Manchester and Newcastle.

Airplane
British Airways is the English flag line. It covers international destinies and domestic flights. The great majority of international companies has flights to the most important centres of England. Other aerial companies that cover domestic destinies are: KLM UK, EasyJet, Aer Lingus and BMI British Midland.

Train

The United Kingdom is covered by 16,500 km of rails, that are the fastest way of communication between London and all the major cities in the country. The system has reasonable prices, although the tourist can choose special tickets offered by Britrail, with limitless passages. These must be acquired in the country of origin of the visitor and allows him to save money.

Automobile

England discriminates between main roads (classified "A"), that connects the main cities of the island, and rural roads, classified "B", slower and winding, sometimes impossible to travel in winter. There is a good service of buses and is possible to rent charter cars for groups wishing to cross England throughout their roads. It must be remembered that England it’s a left side driving country. The allowed speed limits are 50 km/h in urban zones, 120 km/h in the freeways and between 80 and 100 km/h in other roads. The use of the lap belt is obligatory as well as to have the driving licence in use and an insurance.
Rent: all the main car rent companies are in England.

Urban transport

Subway London, Newcastle, Liverpool and Glasgow have an underground network. Those of Glasgow and London are the oldest. The urban areas of Glasgow, Cardiff, Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham have a good network of street cars. In London, they cover a wide area, being the greatest underground network of the world.
Bus All the English cities have urban buses networks that combine their tickets with the suburban buses and trains. The central stations usually are near the train stations.
Taxis Could be found in all the main cities and the habitual thing is to leave a 2 or 3 % tip. It can have small surcharges in holidays, week ends, nocturnal passages or excess luggage.
